Project Research Physician with the Research Group of Childhood Illness : epidemiology, burden and risk factors under the Centre for Child and Adolescent Health (Advertisement #248/12)
icddr,b invites applications from suitable candidates for the position of Project Research Physician with the Research Group of Childhood Illness : epidemiology, burden and risk factorsunder the Centre for Child and Adolescent Health. The appointment will be made on a Contractual Service Agreement (CSA) basis for 7 months, which may be extended for further period depending on satisfactory performance and availability of funds.
 
Duty Station – Matlab, Chandpur
 
Salary – Tk.31,970/-(consolidated) per month inclusive of house rent and conveyance allowances. No other benefit is admissible.
 
Job Profile
  • Collect appropriate clinical data by administering the clinical part of the study  questionnaire;
  • Conduct Physical examination and BP measurement of study participants and maintain      
  • proper recording;
  • Perform Spirometry;
  • Collect blood specimen from study participants;
  • Conduct training and supervise field staff.
Requirements
  • MBBS degree from a Medical College recognized by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council with completion of one year internship training;
  • 1 year working experience in a clinic/hospital. Candidates having experience working with pediatric ward will be given preference;
  • Sound clinical knowledge and  skills in patient examination, diagnosis and management are required;
  • Ability to identify and solve problems related to data collection and management of the study;
  • Ability to perform jobs in an adverse situation and under pressure;
  • Should be able to work in a team;
  • Computer knowledge on MS Office is required.
  • Excellent communication skills both in English and Bangla are required;
